You may find this interesting reading. The rules seem to state that the board around here doesn't know what the hell there doing. I am all for NW teams being competitive nationally, but we have teams classified completely wrong according to ASA guidelines. It would be interesting to see how many more tourneys and teams we could have if it was actually done right. According to the ASA guidelines any team that won two or more games in last years "C" tourney at Delta can't compete in a lower division the next year. That includes any team that has 4 players that were on a roster that won those games. Guess they shouldn't have went out and played so well in that tourney if they want to keep playing against D and E teams. |

I can think of 3 different teams that won at least two games in that tourney that are local. It's a point not worth discussing since the powers that be
will never do anything to enforce real divisions around here. I think we would have a lot more players coming out for tournaments if they knew they were
playing people on the same talent level is the whole point though.

RipIt69 -- please tell me a 2008 team, playing D in ASA, with 4 or more players from teams that won 2 or more games at C Western Nationals in Portland last
Fall. I would like to know so I can be sure a correction is made.
BTW - I actually agree with your sentiment about teams possibly coming out for more tournaments if they could be sure they would be playing teams of the same talent level.
