We have not been told anything yet so I am assuming it is still on

So I guess there are only 5 teams in this right now, it may go to a 3 gg and to a 1 day tourney. I find this absolutely unbelieveable, it is a national qualifier tourney with C and D births on the line and only 5 teams show up??? Not to mention it is an XPC series, where are all the teams at trying to earn points to win the prize package that so many people worked hard to put together?? I feel sorry for the Hillsboro people and the XPC points series people who have worked hard to put together a great prize package and offer a chance to win national births and to only get 5 teams!!! I guess there are a couple more teams that may enter but this is still pretty pathetic....A chance to win a national birth and only 5 teams show up, softball teams in this area should be embarrassed of themselves, You can get 15 teams to show up at David Douglas or Brush Prairie (and thank you scott for all the work you do up there and your help with the XPC points series) just to play ball and win a T-Shirt but can't get enough teams for a national qualifier!!! Well have fun complaining when winter hits that you did not get a chance to play a bunch of ball and missed a chance at qualifying for nationals. Am I missing something here? Did they not promote this enough to try and get more local teams in this?

ASA is not the greatest but I could not agree with the Greek more, it is still thrown to you underhand!!! D nationals are only 160 miles away and all this tourney can muster together is 6 teams!!! The local powers that be are doing there best to give US players more of a chance to play and at a great venue I might add (Hillsboro diamonds are really nice) and a chance to qualify for a national that is only 160 miles away!!! I am embarrassed to tell my friends in the midwest that I am playing in a national qualifier that is giving out 4 berths and the tourney can only field 6 teams.....

Thanks again to the people who are putting in the work to make this tourney happen (and all tourneys that go on in our area for that matter) and give us weekend, non athletic, slowpitch softball playin, livin the glory days players a chance to go and compete at a national level.

Very funny stuff

Playing ASA, USSSA, NSA or whatever, going to nationals is a great experience and should be taken advantage of, sad alot of people around here don't take it. They would rather complain about who is playing in C or D and in turn not play themselves. I heard Demarini is playing in Hillsboro (just a rumor do not know if it is true) if so...great...My team does not have the greatest chance at beating them at all but I say bring it and we will still make them hit and field the ball, you can not get better as a team by sandbagging and playing rec II teams and expect to do well on a national level. That is why we play this silly little game and I am looking forward to the challenge of playing a couple really good teams.
